Supporting our local communities
Yorkshire has been good to us for over 150 years. People and businesses have trusted us to help them with their finances. So giving something back seems only natural. It’s our pleasure to do it. More than 20% of our staff regularly support their chosen charities through our payroll giving scheme. They also volunteer for charities and projects in work and in their own time. Together we can keep making ‘here’ a better place.
Our ‘Count me in 123’ scheme is a community-backed project to help youngsters learn to count and understand numbers. It helps pre-school children learn in a fun and engaging way and helps parents get involved in their child’s education.
We actively encourage our colleagues to volunteer and get involved in the charities we support. We provide employees with two days paid leave to do so.
